The Dower House Self Catering Cottage is a graceful mid 19th century country property in an idyllic situation on the western side of Lake Windermere and adjacent to the small Dower House Guest House.

The views towards the head of the lake and its background of mountains are truly magnificent. There is a long private drive from the gates of Wray Castle to the entrance of the Dower House with its clematis covered terrace and peaceful country house atmosphere.

French windows from the terrace to large sitting room (colour TV, electric fire). Fitted pine dining kitchen. Two bedrooms, one family room (double and single beds) and second double room. Shower/Bathroom (bath, basin and wc).

Large lawned area shrub gardens with wonderful lake views, frequently visited by deer, rabbits and many wild birds. Lake access via woodland footpath. Daytime mooring available on National Trust jetty.
